2009 Spring Into Romance Contest

Thank you for your interest in the Spring Into Romance Contest. Our contest has a positive reputation for constructive and valuable feedback. In order to take advantage of this opportunity, come up with a great hook, edit, and polish the first 25 pages of your manuscript then enter the Spring Into Romance Contest!

  (Note that the score sheet has been modified from previous years.)

Submission: First 25 pages (maximum) of manuscript, including prologue if applicable. Standard formatting as stated in rules.

Fee: $20 RWASD members; $25 non-members; $35 for international entries (covers international postage)

Postmark deadline: March 20, 2009

Eligibility: Not published in book-length fiction within three years of deadline

First-round judges: Trained or published. Every attempt will be made to assign each entry a published judge.

• Contemporary Single Title Romance: Frances Jalet-Miller, , Grand Central Publishing (formerly Warner Books)
• Suspense/Adventure Romance: Diana Ventimiglia, Silhouette
• Novel w/Strong Romance Elements/Mainstream: Adam Wilson, MIRA-Harlequin
• Historical Romance: Linda Fildew, Harlequin, Mills & Boon London
• Paranormal Romance: LaToya Smith, Grand Central Publishing (formerly Warner Books)
• Young Adult Romance: Laura Bradford, Bradford Literary Agency
